ICE Parent Action/Education Advocacy Committee
/With the ELA and Math tests fast approaching, the ICE Parent Action/Education Advocacy could use some volunteers to assist with a couple of tasks.
They are looking for some folks to help at Parent Teacher conferences by having, discussing, and collecting signatures on Opt-Out letters.
They are looking for a few people to update our survey re: how high schools do or do not use state test scores in their admissions formulas. The calls are generally brief, although you may have to leave messages and be available for call back.
And finally, if you're joining the 85% of students who opted out of statewide testing last year, make your position public on email strings about this, on the ICE Facebook Page or on Google Talk!
Contact kemala@nycpublic.org if you can help!
